Hey Square Enix I have a really big crush on you and Ignis Scientia (and Clive Rosfield).
On to my actual commentary - I wanted to design something King Regis and Ignis would be drinking and possibly sponsoring. And, honestly, Ebony's in-game branding left me wanting for such a gorgeous game. To keep with FFXV's heavy theme of celestial bodies, I based Ebony around the imagery of the moon. The idea of the moon phases representing the flavors came to be in a vision (translation: I was probably zoning out and drinking coffee and it just hit me like a truck).
The following will be formatted as if from an in-universe website. Ignis would probably be scrolling through it to learn more since he's so thorough. I imagine Noctis would be doing the same, but half-heartedly to figure out why Ignis likes coffee so much. You can tell from the copy written that this is basically just moments before disaster (: all my Kingsglaive fans know wassup
I love you square enix please hire me

Since its inception, Ebony has going through a rebranding to reflect those who drink it: strong, modern, and classy. King Regis and his Crownsguard were known to have been fans, and now Ignis Scientia of Prince Noctis' retinue is also a known Ebony aficionado.
From the office worker working overtime to the hunter out looking for their next mark: Ebony will always be here to give you the power to endure during the darkest nights.
We have locations across Lucis, Accordo, and Niflheim, so come and see us!
the power to endure even during the darkest nights – Ebony Coffee
During the hunt for an elusive coeurl, the famed Magus Sisters - Sandy, Cindy, and Mindy - bemoaned the quality of the instant coffee they had on hand. Their coffee that evening was tasteless and gritty, and they began discussing their ideal coffee around the campfire: an economical solution that did not sacrifice quality and taste.
After the successful culling of the coeurl, the sisters decided to retire from hunting and combined their passions - business, mixology, family, and culinary arts. All three of them had a passion for coffee. With Sandy handling the finances and securing a workspace, Mindy and Cindy began to perfect the first New Moon Black. This was how Ebony Coffee Roasters
came to be.
Natives to the crown city of Insomnia, the Magus Sisters paid homage to their beloved city's official color and their preferred roast with the name Ebony.
Though Ebony Coffee Roasters initially began as a delicious solution for hunters seeking their marks, it quickly evolved into their first brick-and-mortar location close to the Financial District of Insomnia. The original Insomnian cafe is still up and running to this day, with all three sisters manning it when staff is short.
Our Roster
Same great flavor,
new look
Our original flavor and our most popular to date. Unsweetened coffee. Premium beans from the Duscae region are slowly brewed for 3 days to create a naturally aromatic and smooth coffee that is uncommon in a can.
One of our most versatile flavors, Ebony's Full Moon Lattes are made with our premium Duscaen dark roast, sheep milk, and sweetened with honey.
The first of our specialty flavors, our Harvest Moon Latte has gained a cult following. Made with aromatic spices and pumpkins from the Cleigne region, our Harvest Moon Latte has become a staple.
Popular for its lovely blue coloring, our Blue Moon Latte is made with rich, salted caramel and butterfly pea tea from the Cleigne region. This remains one of the most popular flavors in Lestallum.
Made from the sweet and tender strawberries close to Galdian Quay, our Strawberry Moon Latte is a popular summertime drink. Cool down, relax, and enjoy a taste of the Quay.
Stay tuned...
